Marlon becomes guitar professor at Fontys University in TilburgSince September 2010, Marlon Titre teaches as guitar professor in the Music Programme (Conservatory) of the Fontys University of Applied Sciences in Tilburg (the Netherlands). Marlon teaches in the guitar department with guitarist Enno Voorhorst. A new curriculum has been created in order to prepare future guitar students for a professional career as a guitarist. Prospective students who wish to pursue a Bachelors/Masters degree in guitar or study at the young musicians academy of the conservatory are welcome to apply. Paris recitalOn November 20th, Marlon will perform a solo recital in the Theatre des Abbesses in Paris. The program includes his composition "Orfeunism" for solo guitar.
Juventus Award voor Marlon TitreAfter cellist Quirine Viersen (1992) and fortepiano player Arthur Schoonderwoerd (1996), guitarist/composer Marlon Titre is the third musician who receives the Juventus Award after its founding in 1991. On Sunday July 5ht Marlon received the Juventus Award, sponsored by the European Council, on the 19th Juventus Festival for chamber music in Cambrai, France. After his concert, in which Marlon premiered his solo guitar piece Orfeunism, and performed with Russian flutist Alexandra Grot and Ukrainian violinist Graf Mourja, he received the Juventus trophee from the hands of clarinettist Johnny Tessier.
June 2010: Aranjuez with the Anhaltisches Theater DessauIn June 2010 Marlon will perform the Concierto de Aranjuez by Joaquin Rodrigo with the Anhaltisches Theater Dessau onder the baton of Antony Hermus.
Beijing and Shanghai ConcertsIn August 2007 Marlon made his debut in China. The first concert took place in
the concert hall of Beijing University, the second in People's Society Hall
in Shanghai. Both concerts were very well visited, and Marlon was honored by the
presence of members of the Dutch Diplomatic Mission in Shanghai.
